What is the ESD tape?

ESD tape, surface resistance <10^9Ω. static discharge time <0.5s, length 36m, width according to user requirements. Suitable for sticking electrostatic sensitive devices, bag sealing, and other electronic product packaging.

Electrical antistatic tape is a transparent polyester film, ideal for use near electronic components and assemblies. They generate less than 50 volts on unwinding and removal from stainless steel, helping to prevent ESD damage to sensitive electronic components in manufacturing environments.

ESD tape is used to prevent static electricity from passing through the surface material. Usually, the OPP film is coated with an antistatic glue on the surface and then processed with the corresponding antistatic function process to make the electrostatic tape. The color of the static tape is black and transparent. Electrostatic tape is used for bonding the surfaces of electronic products and for ESD treatment.

The use can be divided into two categories:

Antistatic and warning

1. ESD tape is divided into two kinds of mesh tape and warning tape, mesh tape has anti-static function, can be used for packaging of electronic products. Anti-static warning tape itself does not have anti-static function, the surface is printed with anti-static marking, generally used for static-sensitive products or anti-static area, mainly play a warning role.

ESD grid tape

• Made of anti-static OPP material. It has the property of discharging static charge and transparency. Only 100V or less of static electricity is generated when used (general tape ≥5000V), which greatly reduces the static electricity hazard generated by product packaging.

ESD transparent adhesive tape

• It is made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive coated with the antistatic agent on the surface of OPP film, after antistatic treatment, the whole roll is light yellow, but completely transparent when pulled apart. The resistance value of the adhesive surface is 10^8Ω-10^10Ω.
  Used for circuit board, notebook computer, cell phone communication, and other products that need anti-static external packaging and clean room use.
