Applications Of ESD Tape

ESD tape is a special tape designed to prevent the generation and accumulation of static electricity, as well as the adverse effects of electrostatic discharges on objects or the environment.

ESD Tape Features:

• Low Surface Resistance: The surface resistance of anti-static tapes is usually low, generally less than 10⁹ Ω. This characteristic makes it able to conduct static electricity efficiently, ensuring that once static electricity is generated, it can be quickly conducted away through the tape, avoiding hazards that may result from prolonged residence on the surface of the tape.
• Rapid electrostatic discharge: It has the ability to discharge static electricity quickly, and the electrostatic discharge time is often very short, generally within 0.5 seconds. Such rapid discharge of static electricity can promptly eliminate the threat of static electricity to sensitive objects or the environment, such as protecting electronic components from damage caused by electrostatic breakdown.
• Inhibit static electricity generation: Even in a dry environment with low relative humidity, anti-static tape itself can also well inhibit the generation of static electricity. This is because its internal antistatic agent is always in action, making the tape not become a “source” of static electricity due to the dry environment, thus always maintaining a better anti-static status.

ESD Tape For Electronic:

• In the manufacturing process of electronic components, such as chips, semiconductor devices, and other components that are extremely sensitive to static electricity, anti-static tape can be used to wrap and fix them to prevent static electricity from damaging them during processing, transportation, and storage.
