Black Teflon tape is a high-performance, multi-purpose new composite product. It retains the excellent performance of glass fiber cloth but also retains the smooth non-stick surface of PTFE, insulation, chemical resistance, high-temperature resistance, and other characteristics.
Black Teflon tape is made of glass fiber fabric coated with Teflon and then coated with a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive on one side. The tape has a non-stick surface, high tensile strength, and high adhesion at high temperatures. Black Teflon tape is made electrically insulating by adding conductive carbon. The tape is used primarily on the jaws and bottom side of heat sealing machines to prevent plastics from sticking to the machine and getting burned, and in the electrical and electronics industry during the production of communication components and consumer electronics to prevent static buildup.
